The Selvaggio Blu is not merely a trekking route but an authentic mountain experience. The path follows the ancient mule tracks of charcoal burners and intricate passages used by shepherds who have inhabited these mountains for millennia. Through a complex network of trails and off-road detours, routes sometimes break off along inaccessible cliffs or on the edges of precipices. One must possess a deep knowledge of the terrain and consolidated mountain experience to overcome these challenges. Our guides, experts in the Selvaggio Blu down to the smallest details, will safely lead you along the original itinerary, equipping critical passages and managing rope descents.

Given its physical difficulty, complex navigation, and distance from roads and support points, the Selvaggio Blu would be extremely challenging without the logistical support and expert guidance of our team. We handle the transfer of luggage from one camp to another and provide everything you need for your adventure. Every morning, you will receive a breakfast and packed lunch, while your luggage will be transferred for you at the next camp, along with a hearty dinner. Our menu, composed exclusively of local products, offers typical Sardinian dishes. We kindly ask participants to inform us in advance of any allergies or dietary intolerances.

Day 1: Welcome to Sardinia

Our adventure kicks off in Santa Maria Navarese, where we have a Hotel room booked for you! Check-in starts at 3:00 PM, so you can settle into your rooms or dive straight into the crystal-clear Sardinian sea for a refreshing swim.

The rooms: You’ll be staying in comfy double rooms with separate beds (a double bed is available upon request) – the perfect spot to relax after an exciting day.

At 6:00 PM, we’ll meet up with the guide and the rest of the group for a full briefing. Our expert guide will fill you in on all the details for the week ahead. You’ll be joining a group of fellow explorers who, just like you, are here to discover new places, making this trip even more amazing!

Then, it’s time to kick things off with a tasty dinner at the restaurant – the perfect way to start this fantastic adventure together!

Day 2: climbing Punta Giradili

First day of the Selvaggio Blu! After packing your backpack and big suitcase in your room, we’ll head downstairs for breakfast, where we’ll meet the guide for a final briefing before we set off.

We’ll start our journey on foot from the hotel, following an easy coastal trail. By lunchtime, we’ll take a long break by the sea, where you’ll have the chance to cool off with a refreshing swim. Afterward, we’ll tackle the long climb up to Punta Giradili. Despite the elevation, this first leg is the easiest and will give us a perfect introduction to the challenges that lie ahead.

We expect to reach our camp, perched above Punta Giradili at 700 meters, by 5:00 PM. Here, under the vast Sardinian starry sky, we’ll enjoy a delicious meal cooked on-site, with freshly roasted meat and vegetables, the perfect way to wrap up this intense and unforgettable day.

After a refreshing break by the sea, we’ll continue our journey along the coast, passing through dense forests, deep canyons, and stopping to explore an old, abandoned shepherd’s hut. In the afternoon, we’ll tackle the first via ferrata of the Selvaggio Blu—an exhilarating taste of the challenges that lie ahead in the coming days. At lunchtime, we’ll stop once again by the sea to enjoy a well-deserved meal and take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters of the cove at Mudaloru. The trail becomes easier as we walk beneath the shade of lush holm oak forests, savoring every step. Our lunch break won’t be by the sea today, but we’ll stop at a scenic viewpoint in the woods above the cliffs, where we can rest and take in the stunning landscape. After the final rope descent, we’ll finally reach Cala Sisine, where we’ll celebrate with a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear sea!

If the weather allows, a boat will pick us up on the beach for an exciting 90-minute ride back to Santa Maria Navarrese. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll embark on an adventurous 4×4 ride back.
